To sum up: the 20 most downloaded apps and games on Google Play Store [2019 Christmas Season]
Were you surprised by the top apps and games of this Christmas season? Some of the apps / games are long-time classics, while some others you might not expect to see there.
If we look at the apps, we notice that Facebook is clearly leading the store with half of the 10 apps being owned by the company (Facebook, WhatsApp Messenger, Messenger – Text and Video Chat for Free, Instagram, and Facebook Lite, even if it does not appear in the developer name of WhatsApp & Instagram) and 4 of these 5 are the first 4 downloaded apps. The two giants TikTok and Netflix are also there, as well as the games SHAREit, Likee and Briefing.
Moving on to the games, a total of 7 of them were already present in our latest infographic about the 25 most downloaded games ever on Google Play Store: Garena Free Fire: Winterlands, Subways Surfers, Sniper 3D Assassin: Fun Gun Shooting Games Free, My Talking Tom, Candy Crush Saga, 8 Ball Pool, and My Talking Angela. Outfit 7 is the only developer to have 2 apps in the top 10. Among the other ones, we find King, Garena Internacional, Cheetah Games…
In short, we want to give a big kudos to the 20 apps and games that rocked this Christmas season and, above all, their developers for doing such a great job! Congrats, and we wish you an even more successful 2020.
